Mujeres en la Vía / Women in the Road
En la vía Caucagua/El Guapo del Estado Miranda en Venezuela, desde bien temprano, atendiendo los puestos de miel, aguacate, mango, plátano, cochino frito, queso y arepas, encontrarás a estas mujeres. Ellas calman la sed y el apetito de los viajeros que van hacia el Oriente del país. Estas mujeres lidian con todo tipo de personas: turistas y curiosos, y siguen en la faena sin importarles más nada sino sobrevivir.
Estas son las “Mujeres en la Vía”, las que tragan humo de leña y smog de los autobuses que pasan, las que sacan cuentas más rápido que una computadora, y las que siempre están ahí, dando la cara con una sonrisa.

In Caucagua/El Guapo road (Miranda State - Venezuela), starting early in the morning and attending the honey, avocado, mango, green banana, fried pork, cheese and corn bread tents, you will find these women. They quench and feed the travellers going to the Eastern side of the country. This women struggle with all kind of people: from tourists to nosy extrangers and keep working despite anything but surviving.
These are the "Women in the Road" , the ones that breath smoke from the bonfire and smog from the buses, the ones that count faster than a computer, the ones that are always there, facing the road with a smile.
